NYAFF Solo Art Show...That's a Wrap!
July 17, 2017
So the NY Asian Film Festival is over and so is my solo art show.
It was a blur of press, drinks, meet and greets and what seemed like an endless amount of photos. But overall, it was a great experience.
First of all, I'd like to thank everyone at the festival for making it happen. And out of everyone at the festival, I'd really like to thank Patrick Nance, Rob Domingo, Sonia Ophelia Huang, David Powers and Yeon Ju. These people were always there for me to answer any questions, setting up things, or simply just being there to talk. And to all the volunteers that were there to help sell the prints and do all the thankless work for the festival.
I've had my work in art shows before, but this was the first time I've ever had a solo show. So I must say I found myself being quite insecure and very anxious as to what could have or haven't happened. A number of occassions I would plant myself in the crowd just to see and hear what they thought of the work. And it was pretty nice to hear what they thought of the show.
Of course there were a few complaints on anything from "there should be more announcements about the work" to "why don't they tell us who all the artists are(even though there were name plates to each piece...and it was a solo show)", but overall I thought everyone was pretty pumped about it.
I'm sure I can't fully explain everything well, so let me just post a few pics that were taking and hopefully these pics can help illustrate how it all went.
If you're intersted in picking up one of the six prints, I still do have a few of each one left. I'll be posting them to my store from time to time HERE.
